The Last Straw 2006 Wine

Vineyard Notes: This straw wine is made from 30 year-old bushvines in the Chenin Blanc vineyards. The grapes are hand picked very ripe between 23 - 24 degrees balling and then naturally dried on beds of fresh straw. This sweet white wine is then matured in 300 litre French oak barrels for 12 months.

Tasting Notes: This dessert wine has a wonderful multidimensional nose with a wheel carol of different flavours such as honey, vanilla, melons, citrus. The sweet white wine is indescribably deep and sensational with a distinct roundness on the palate.

Food Pairing Notes: Taking a sip of this nectar is like having a spoonful of caramel pudding - ideal for that after dinner treat.
